Calcium hypochlorite granules for swimming pools.
Fast-dissolving stabilized chlorine (min. 60%) in granulate form. Stabilizer protects chlorine from UV radiation from the sun. Very effective against algae and organic deposits. Ideal for a chlorine shock and the start of the season. For continuous disinfection in soft and hard water.
Dosing instructions (practical advice):
- Always correct the pH value between 7.2 and 7.6
- During treatment, the pump should be running for 3 to 4 hours
- Dissolve the product in a bucket of cool water and then distribute it evenly over the surface of the water
- An amount of 17g in 10 m³ of water increases the chlorine content by approx. 1 ppm (mg/l) and also increases the cyanuric acid content by approx. 1 ppm (mg/l)
- Maintain the chlorine level at 2 ppm (mg/l). The dosage depends strongly on circumstances (temperature, sun and bath load)
- With this dosing recommendation, the cyanuric acid content may not exceed 100 ppm (mg/l) (overstabilisation)
- For continuous disinfection: every 1 to 2 days 20-30 g per 10 m³ of water
- In case of chlorine shock or the presence of algae: approx. 50-80 g per 10³ of water
- After chlorine shock, wait until the chlorine value has dropped below 5 ppm (mg/l) before using the pool again
Warning:
- Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use
- Keep in a cool dark place, out of the reach of children
- Never throw chlorine granules directly into the pool. You can easily get bleach stains and damage the bottom of your pool.
- Never mix with other (swimming pool) chemicals or types of chlorine. These can react with each other. Chlorine gas formation may occur
- To avoid risk of skin and eye irritation, it is recommended to wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling this product
Tip:
- Note: Melpool 63/G contains a chlorine stabilizer (cyanuric acid). This stabilizer protects the dissolved chlorine from UV rays from the sun that can quickly degrade the chlorine. With long-term dosing, the water can become over-stabilised, this results in the chlorine no longer being active. Therefore, regularly change part of the water
- If the pool is not in use, cover it! This prevents dirt coming into the pool and prevents UV breaking down the chlorine. In addition, the water can retain its temperature much longer
