Calcium hypochlorite tablets for swimming pools.
Chlorine tablets 20g (Min. 70% Cl) for swimming pool water. Very effective against algae and organic deposits. For continuous disinfection in soft and medium hard water. High-quality chlorine product: also suitable for public swimming pools and drinking water disinfection. Contains no chlorine stabilizer: no danger of chlorine overstabilization.
Dosing instructions (practical advice):
- Always correct the pH value between 7.2 and 7.6
- During treatment, the pump should be running for 3 to 4 hours
- Dissolve tablets in the skimmer or a floating dispenser
- With non-stabilised water: 2-3 tablets per 10 m³ of water per day or every two days
- Dose half of this amount in the morning and the other half in the evening
- In case of chlorine shock or presence of algae 4-5 tablets per 10 m³ of water
- For chlorine shock, dissolve tablets in skimmer (basket). Note: Tablets do not dissolve quickly in a floating dispenser
- After a chlorine shock, do not swim until the normal concentration of free chlorine has been reached again
- Practical advice: Maintain chlorine levels between 0.5 and 2 ppm (mg/l) in unstabilized water
- 1 tablet of 20g in 10 m³ of water increases the chlorine content by 1.4 ppm (mg/l)
- The dosage depends strongly on circumstances (temperature, sun and bath load)
- Do not use Melpool 70/20 in hard water due to the risk of limescale and cloudy water
- In case of hard water we recommend Melpool 55/G (chlorine shock), Melpool 90/200 or Melpool 90/20 (continuous disinfection)
Warning:
- Melpool 70/20 calcium hypochlorite is an inorganic chlorine. Can react with other types of chlorine, acids and organic substances
- Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use
- Keep in a cool dark place, out of the reach of children
- Do not throw tablets directly into the bath, but let them dissolve in a floating dispenser or skimmer
- Never mix with other (swimming pool) chemicals or other types of chlorine. These can react with each other. Chlorine gas formation may occur
- To avoid risk of skin and eye irritation, it is recommended to wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling this product
Tip:
- Product does not contain chlorine stabilizer (cyanuric acid). No risk of overstabilizing the water, so that the chlorine is no longer active
- Also suitable for chlorine shock and starting up a swimming pool after the winter period (dosing via skimmer)
- Optional use in combination with Melpool ICA (cyanuric acid). Maintain a chlorine content of 2.0 – 3.0 ppm (mg/l) and dose 1-2 tablets per 10 m³ per day or every two days (practical advice)
