Calcium hypochlorite granules for swimming pools.
Fast dissolving chlorine granulate (min. 70% Cl). Very effective against algae and organic deposits. Ideal for a chlorine shock and the start of the season. For continuous disinfection in soft and medium hard water. High-quality chlorine product: also suitable for public swimming pools and drinking water disinfection. Contains no chlorine stabilizer: no danger of chlorine overstabilization.
Dosing instructions (practical advice):
- Always correct the pH value between 7.2 and 7.6
- During treatment, the pump should be running for 3 to 4 hours
- Dissolve the product in a bucket of cool water and then distribute it evenly over the surface of the water
- With unstabilised swimming pool water: daily 30-50 g per 10 m³ of water
- Dose half of this amount in the morning and the other half in the evening
- In case of chlorine shock or the presence of algae 80-100 g per 10 m³ of water
- After a chlorine shock, do not swim until the normal concentration of free chlorine has been reached again
- Practice recommendation: maintain chlorine levels between 0.5 and 3 ppm (mg/l) in non-stabilized water
- An amount of 15g in 10 m³ of water increases the chlorine content by 1 ppm (mg/l)
- The dosage depends strongly on circumstances (temperature, sun and bath load)
- Do not use Melpool 70/G in hard water due to the risk of limescale and cloudy water
- In case of hard water we recommend Melpool 55/G (chlorine shock), Melpool 90/200 or Melpool 90/20 (continuous disinfection)
Warning:
- Melpool 70/G calcium hypochlorite is an inorganic chlorine. Can react with other types of chlorine, acids and organic substances
- Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use
- Keep in a cool dark place, out of the reach of children
- Never throw chlorine granules directly into the pool. You can easily get bleach stains and damage the bottom of your pool.
- Never mix with other (swimming pool) chemicals or other types of chlorine. These can react with each other. Chlorine gas formation may occur
- To avoid risk of skin and eye irritation, it is recommended to wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling this product
Tip:
- Product does not contain chlorine stabilizer (cyanuric acid). No risk of overstabilizing the water, so that the chlorine is no longer active
- Very suitable for chlorine shock and starting up a swimming pool after the winter period
- Optional use in combination with Melpool ICA (cyanuric acid). Maintain a chlorine content of 2.0 – 5.0 ppm (mg/l) and dose 20-30 g/10 m³ daily (practical advice)
